privacy and cookies.
the short version
this site has no advertising pixels, marketing cookies or third-party visitor analytics. it does not create advertising profiles. the interface does not ask you to accept optional cookies because it does not currently use them.
the “i was here” counter
each click adds a hello to a shared total. the counter stores a randomly generated batch identifier and its click total on cloudflare so retried requests are not counted twice. these records are retained with the counter; they are not a list of named visitors. the counter application does not store your ip address or place a limit on your clicks.
after you click, pending clicks may be saved in your tab’s sessionstorage under “canbo-hello-pending”. this is browser storage, not a cookie. the record is removed once the server confirms it, or normally when the tab’s session ends. it is used only to complete the counter interaction you requested, not to follow you across websites.
hosting and technical requests
cloudflare delivers and protects this website. like any hosting provider, it processes technical request data such as ip addresses, requested urls and browser information to serve traffic and maintain security. cloudflare may use strictly necessary security cookies when its protection features require them. the counter’s no-ip-storage statement does not mean that network requests hide your ip from the hosting provider.
email and external links
email links open your email application. information you choose to send is used to respond to your message and discuss your request. social and project links take you to other websites; those services apply their own privacy and cookie policies. their content is not embedded in this page.
